Ornate filigree Amethyst Engagement Ring – Portfolio

For this 'Ring of the Week', our client came with a definitive idea of what she wanted for her girlfriend. A rich regal purple Amethyst was wanted as the centre stone with accent diamonds. Our client wanted a bespoke filigree ring with an almost "Caesar" style roll over.  Our client also wanted to include a Sapphire - but hidden and against the finger, as a permanent memento of closeness. We opted for the stones to be set on a Palladium ring, so that it would remain light and practical as well as showcasing the intricate design features.  Due to the detail and hollow recessed areas, we advised a sandblast finish inside the ring and under the filigree, with the remainder of the ring being polished.  All aspects allowing for the ring design to reflect an ornate,vintage inspired engagement ring.
